Habit is my second favorite burger place after In-N-Out. After working out at the gym I reward myself with a double char and fries.

Good Ahi sandwich, trifle on the dry side

Keep in mind that I am an In N Out type of person. With that said, The habit is absolutely a great alternative!!! Good burger places with competitive prices are few, this place is no exception.The female at the register taking my order was kind and always had a smile. She is perfect for working the business front.The combo meal was awesome!!! I ate it during my time of starvation and it was exactly what l needed. Every bite was amazing.Bonus: there are cute little black birds that are looking for food in the outdoor dining area.This place really deserves a 4 star average rating imo, but I suppose other people had really bad experiences here...not me :)

It is very nostalgic...old school dinner unlike the newer Habits

I absolutely love Habit Burger. A lot of people like to compare it to In N Out and put them in some sort of competition, but I think that's wholly unfair -- I happen to enjoy both equally for their own unique tastes. Habit Burger has very well cooked and filling entrees, and their fries are far more unique. Give this place a go, it's a great burger joint in the area

I became extremely sick after eating a burger there. I did not eat anything else yesterday, the only meal I had was a double cheeseburger. I became extremely sick the entire night and the morning after. I have no doubts the food there got me sick. DO NOT EAT THERE....,

wasn't as good as the one on Hollister

Their hours are totally off. We drove all the way to Isla vista for a great cheap burger and they were completely closed. Even if it is only summer hours it was incredibly inconvenient and out of my way. I honestly do not see myself coming here ever again.

This is the best place to stop for lunch if you find yourself in IV and are craving a burger. Habit was voted best burgers in the country for a reason. Simple and delicious. Plus, you can add avocado and bacon! I recommend getting the sweet potato fries. You won't regret it.The only negative thing to say about this location is the lack of indoor seating. It's all outside in the shared space. It's not usually a bad thing except for those days that the weather isn't the usual great SB weather. Bonus hack: ask for a half side of mayo and fill the remainder of the small container with Cholula Sauce and mix together. Use it instead of ketchup for your fries. You can thank me later. ;)

Better burgers and fries than in n out

This place gives amazing service and delicious meals. One of my favourite places around town. The food and drinks came out fast and the prices were fair. I recommend this place.

I dont.know how but the burgers here feel bigger than the other locations

They got great veggie burgers

The food size keep shrinking over the years, and now, the Chicken Club sandwich has a squashed chicken meat thinner than a piece of paper, one piece of bacon and tripled tomato, which makes it looks “bigger” in size.

Can't go wrong here. Seating can be limited but food comes out as fast as possible.

I ordered extra add ons TWICE and paid quite a bit extra for it but both times they did NOT put it into my burger. The first time I had to physically check the burger upon receiving it and the second time I was in a rush so I left without checking and to my greatest disappointment the add ons that I paid for were not included. There werent even a lot of customers so I dont see how you cant get an order correct.

This was my first time eating at the Habit. The person running the cash register was incredibly friendly. She was patient with allowing me to figure out my order and even gave me recommendations. I ordered the Chicken sandwich with teriyaki sauce, grilled oniions, and a side of fries. The fries were excellent, however, the sandwich lacked flavor. In fact it did not taste like teriyaki at all. When I returned inside to ask for a side of sauce, the person at the register asked me how my food was. I explained that it was not flavorful at all and she apologized and offered me more sauce. Over all, I would give the Habit another try because of the great service even though I was disappointed with the food.

The double charburger does not taste that good but it is an OK option sometines.
